Make plans now to attend the 2012 annual Pierre Chastain Family Association Reunion! Meet Chastain cousins, learn about your Chastain heritage, and enjoy the activities at Henry Horton State Park.
The 2012 PCFA Family Reunion will be at the Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill, Tennessee, which is about forty miles south of Nashville. The dates are Friday and Saturday, September 28-29. Save these dates in your calendar!
Our local hosts, Ronnie and Karyl Chastain Beal, have arranged a block rooms, but they will be held for us only until August 18, 2012. So reserve your rooms by August 18 or they will be released to other people.
Sixteen rooms (two double beds) are available at $70.00 + tax on a first-reserved basis. Four rooms (two double beds) are available with a microwave and small fridge for $75 + tax. Prices are based on two adults. Additional adults are $10 per person, but there is no charge for children under age 16.
As of January 24, there are only three handicapped rooms still available for our dates and we cannot hold those rooms; they are $75 + tax and come with a microwave and small fridge. So reserve right away if you need a handicapped room.

There are 75 campsites situated near the scenic Duck River; 19 of these are tent sites. The remaining 56 are RV sites with water and electric hookups. All sites have tables, grills and fire rings. Campsites are limited to six people and two vehicles maximum and are available on a first-come first-served basis. A large group tent camp site is also available. Two bathhouses are available seasonally; one bathhouse will remain open during the winter season to accommodate tents and small campers without self contained facilities. Please contact the park for specific closure dates and camping information. Note: Pets are welcome but must be on a leash. Pets may not be left tied unattended.

The Chattahoochee River flows gently through Helen, a re-creation of a Bavarian Alpine village, complete with cobblestone streets.
Once a lumber town, it now has more than 200 specialty and import shops offering everything from candle making and glass blowing to cuckoo clocks and quilts. Dining options range from traditional German fare to traditional southern.
A favorite getaway is Unicoi State Park with lots of trails for hiking and biking as well as swimming and boating on Unicoi Lake.
Stop for a wine tasting at Habersham Winery or at Nora Mill Granary for some "Georgia Ice-Cream", otherwise known as grits!
Recreation is in abundance with mountain biking, fly-fishing, golfing, horseback riding, hiking, as well as tubing and paddling.
Attractions include the Live Tarantulas Gallery, Charlemagne's Kingdom, Scarlet's Secret, the Black Forest Bear Park, the Russell-Brasstown Scenic Byway and area waterfalls just to name a few.
Accommodations
Twenty rooms (two queen beds) are available at this special price ($87.00 + 15% tax) on a first reserved basis, and the cut-off date for reservations is August 10, 2011. For those needing handicap accommodations, there are a limited number of rooms, so reserve early. The price is the same. There is also an elevator for the facility.
Additional room options, if available at the time of request and at an additional cost, are 1 King Standard; 3 King Suites ($98.00 + 15% tax); and 3 Jacuzzi King Rooms ($108.00 + tax).
